"I've been alone for so long that I've forgotten what it feels like to be seen."
-Han So-yeon

Contents summary:

"My Holo Love" is a sweet and captivating K-drama that explores the themes of love, loneliness, and technology. The story follows a young woman named Han So-yeon, who struggles to interact with others due to her poor eyesight. Her life changes when she encounters a holographic AI program named Holo, created by a brilliant but reclusive scientist.

So-yeon and Holo's relationship develops in an interesting way, as Holo not only acts as her companion, but also as someone who helps her overcome her fears and gain new perspectives. The drama also explores the challenges associated with AI development and the emotional bonds people can form with technology.

The blend of romance, drama, and science fiction makes "My Holo Love" a unique and entertaining series.

My review:

10/10
My absolute comfort drama
The series makes you think about our dependence on technology and the challenges of modern relationships.
In my opinion, it's an absolute must-have K-drama!

1. Plot: The series explores how technology can influence our interpersonal relationships and questions whether an AI can form true emotional bonds. The "love triangle," if you can even call it that, gripped me from the very first minute.

2. Character Development: The protagonist undergoes significant growth as she learns to overcome her fears and engage in real relationships.

3. Emotional Impact: The relationship between Go Nan-Do, Ko Sung-hee, and the AI "Holo" is both touching and complex, leading to many emotional moments.
The chemistry between the main characters is palpable and contributes to the believability of the romantic elements of the story. Their interactions are both touching and humorous, which makes the relationship between the characters believable.

4. Production and Cinematography: The portrayal of the AI and the visual effects are appealing and contribute to the futuristic atmosphere of the series. I think the series is incredibly well-acted. The individual scenes are of high quality.

5. Social Critique: My Holo Love criticizes the increasing social isolation caused by technology by showing how the protagonist opens up to an AI rather than to real people. The drama addresses data protection issues, the danger of surveillance, and the idealization of artificial intelligence. It questions whether technology can replace human relationships and criticizes companies that market AI without ethical considerations. Overall, the series highlights the risks of a technological society and warns of the loss of true humanity.
