About the recipe
Japanese curry is a popular soul food from Japan – hearty, mildly spicy, and wonderfully filling.
In this recipe, I'll show you how to easily recreate this classic dish at home.
Perfect for cozy evenings or as a warming comfort meal!

Ingredients:
•250 grams of potatoes
•2 carrots
•2-3 onions (I used shallots)
•750ml water
•3 cubes of Japanese curry
+ Rice
preparation
1. Boil the rice until the water runs clear.
Then cook it as directed on the package or as you normally would.
2. Peel potatoes, carrots and onions and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
3. Heat oil in a pot.
Add the onions and fry them briefly until they become translucent.
Then add potatoes and carrots and drain the vegetables with water.
Now put the lid on and wait until the potatoes and carrots are cooked. (Approx. 15-20 minutes)
4.Now set your stove to low heat.
Add the curry cubes to the pot and stir slowly until they have completely dissolved and the sauce thickens.
5. Simmer for a few more minutes to make the curry nice and creamy.
6. SERVE
Serve the finished curry on rice and enjoy!
Optional: it can be prepared well with tofu or meat or served as a side dish with tofu/chicken katsu.
